The city of Memphis and Crittenden County (AR) are reopening the former roadways for bicycle and pedestrian traffic. A bikeway on the north side of the Harahan Bridge will present spectacular views of Memphis and the Mississippi River.
The Main to Main Multi-Modal Connector Project will include major infrastructure repairs and improvements on Downtown Memphis’ Main Street, from Uptown to the Harahan Bridge, and convert the Harahan Bridge into a bike/pedestrian path. The scope of work will include streetscape, lighting, sidewalk, roadway, and drainage improvements along Main Street in downtown Memphis.
